Fort Bridger and BBQ

Last weekend the weather was so nice, and today we have at least 6 inches of new snow at our house. BOOOO!! I'm VERY ready for warmth, and Eric is happy with the additional snow (because that means more snowmobiling this season). Here are some pictures from last weekend, when the weather was BEE-A-Utiful! We were really hoping to go to our dear friend Alicia's wedding in Seattle, but sadly didn't have the time to go. We were both pretty bummed so Eric suprised me with a daycation on Saturday and we drove to Bridger Valley, WY. We went to Ft. Bridger, walked around, enjoyed the sun, ate at a fun burger joint, and then drove back home. That evening we had some friends up for a BBQ and games.

Reese zonked out with 'Aunt' Liesl -Liesl showed me a move that gets Reese right to sleep and gives your backside an amazing workout! Thanks Liesl :)

We are Family

Messick grandkids in their cute spring outfits
Still purple - DANG thrush!! But she's so adorable she can pull it off!
Eli loves Reese: this pic shows it well - this picture makes it look like Reese is upset, but she wasn't and Eli was hugging really soft.
Reese's first time in our hot tub
We love visitors!! Thanks mom, dad, Aubs, Jer, and kiddos for coming and playing!

Swimmin' Swimmin' Just Keep Swimmin'

Last night we went to the pool with our friends the Naffziggers. It was such a blast! Reese LOVED it! When she kicks her legs it is much like a cricket, her inner ankles hit against each other. She kicked like this the whole time she was floating around in the pool. Disclaimer: I had to paint the purple medicine on Reese's lips again, that is why she may look cold. The water was actually really warm and she didn't get cold at all.

The Naffziggers
Looking darling in the swimsuit I wore when I was a baby
Eric and Travis had more fun with the play gym than any of the kids there.

Reese LOVED floating around in the pool!
The slide is SO much fun - you can get going so fast!
Reese kicked her legs for probably an hour straight in the pool and tuckered herself out

Babysitting

We babysat my sister's kids earlier this week and I took a couple of pics I thought were cute and worth posting.
Eric and Chelsea (she is wearing her "lil mermaid dress swimsuit" - I love how girly she is)
Papa hanging out with Eli and Reese and wearing the shirt my brother, who is serving a mission in France, gave him. A proud dad and proud Papa :)

Gentian Violet

This is what happens when you take your baby outside in March without a coat on:

Actually, Reese has a minor case of thrush, and the doctor suggested we use Gentian Violet rather than the prescription Nystatin, because it is a two dose cure rather than a 4 times a day for a couple weeks cure. Reese was making a funny face while I painted it in her mouth, but then was all smiles. I tasted it and it is GROSS, but she didn't seem to mind too much. She has had it in her mouth for about 24 hours now and her lips are still a bit purple, but it no longer looks like she chewed through a pen.If you have seen Pee-wee Herman's Big Adventure, this may remind you of when Pee-wee gives Francis Buxton ink gum and it dies his mouth dark like this.

2 month stats

10 lbs 12 oz

22 inches

I think she has my tolerance for pain, because she did SO good with her shots! Of course she screamed at the nurse when she poked her, but she calmed right down when I picked her up! She is such a sweet little girl!!!! Oh, I love her!
